School is hard enough – that's why our School Assistance Program makes it easy to obtain the mental health support you need. With just one phone call, the program provides two free counseling sessions for students and staff from any school district in DeKalb, LaGrange, Noble or Steuben counties.
Any need, any subject
Some common mental health concerns that our therapists can help with include, but are not limited to:
- Depression
- Anxiety
- Problems with family relationships
- Difficulties with social relationships
- School/work concerns
- Self-harm or suicidal thoughts
- Eating disorders
- Substance use

Enrollment is always open
You don’t have to be an existing Northeastern Center client, and there’s no deductible, co-pay, or preauthorization required to access your free sessions. Your confidential and private therapy appointments can be scheduled simply by calling your nearest outpatient office and asking about the School Assistance Program.
