*Due to regulatory restrictions, individuals must have a co-occurring mental health diagnosis for inpatient substance use services. Please call our Emergency Solutions team at 1-800-790-0118 for inpatient evaluation information.
**Northeastern Center cannot provide methadone or suboxone but can prescribe other alternatives.
Financial assistance
Unlike other substance use programs, Northeastern Center serves everyone, regardless of their ability to pay. We accept Medicare/Medicaid, commercially insured and uninsured clients. Additionally:
- Northeastern Center offers financial assistance to those who qualify.
- Our Consumer Benefits Specialists can assist you in applying for Medicaid, Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and other support programs.
- Northeastern Center is a treatment provider for Indiana Recovery Works, which provides support services to those without insurance coverage who are involved with the criminal justice system. Learn more about this program, including the self-referral process, on the Recovery Works website.

Transportation assistance
NEC Connect is a free transportation service for individuals with substance use disorder and an affiliation with DeKalb County. The grant-funded program rides to therapy, medical appointments, probation – anywhere that supports your recovery. To schedule a ride, call 260-925-8657 at least 24 hours in advance.
