KENDALLVILLE, Ind. – Northeastern Center recently promoted two leaders and has hired a new intake therapist to its team of providers.  

Jenni Hughes was promoted to director of nursing and will lead all nursing staff at Northeastern Center. A registered nurse, Hughes earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Western Governors University and has worked in the healthcare field since 2007. Most recently, she served as nurse manager for the center.

Samantha Brenneke was promoted to team manager of Emergency Solutions, which is based at Northeastern Center’s Community Health & Outreach Center in Auburn. Brenneke earned her bachelor’s degree in human science from the University of Southern Mississippi, where she majored in psychology. Most recently, she served as an Emergency Solutions case facilitator and court liaison/gatekeeper for Northeastern Center.

BreAnna Hunter is a new intake therapist, who will see new clients at Northeastern Center’s outpatient locations in Albion and Kendallville. A licensed mental health counselor associate, Hunter earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology, and a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Huntington University. With experience in counseling, crisis support, advocacy and other areas, most of her counseling background has focused on trauma work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
